We finally arrived in Maseru, Lesotho on Friday. It was a warm wonderful Lesotho reception from Angela, Lydia and 3 of her children, Me’ Rose, Teboho and more at the airport.

It’s 4AM in Lesotho. I (Mike) am up preparing for this morning’s Bible study with the women. It’s an early morning and not enough sleep. The lesson is When Truth Becomes More Than An Idea, You Pray from 2 Chronicles 20. We expect to see many of our friends from a year ago at the study.
Words cannot express how it feels to be back here. If you had asked me 5 years ago if I’d ever expected to visit Africa or return, I would have said a big NO. This isn’t anything ever sought out. But, God makes it very clear when it’s His will. To see the faces of our friends yesterday makes it all worthwhile. It means so much to them that we’re here. It communicates to them that we truly do care about them. Me’ Rose was so cute…she said she had been awake the night before from 2AM on because she was so excited.
In this tiny tiny forgotten country our presence is a reminder of God’s love and His hope. His hope in that there is more to life than what we see and experience here…for all of us, black and white, with a relationship with Christ our true home is Heaven. We represent God’s love in that we seek to be used by Him as His hands and feet. Our prayer is that God will further knit our hearts together and that He will use us to encourage, teach, and love these people.
After the Bible study today we’ll visit with Lydia and the children. What fun it will be to enjoy the laughter and love of those kids. Will post more pictures tonight when we return.
