Learn from the Text
You’ll want to look for principles as you Learn from the Text. To begin with, re-read the passage and look for what God is trying to
communicate through it. You may find it helpful initially seeing if . . .
- God is giving a command to obey
- There’s a promise in the verse
- God is warning the reader about a particular sin to avoid
- There’s character trait to imitate
- A behavior is to be followed
- God is giving us a truth to understand
Go back to the passage, Luke 4:1-14. Begin with the first verse. We started a list for you, you finish up the passage and then move on to Living Out the Text.
