The purpose of Anchor Your Life is to challenge individuals to come to know God and
to grow in their personal relationship with Him through a deeper understanding of God's word by teaching, sharing, and in any other way
communicating the Word of God.
History
In early 1996, Marji (“Mike”) Kruger (the founder and developer of Anchor Your Life) saw the potential to reach a broad audience with God´s Word through the technology of the Internet. For the first year and a half, she
acquired as much practical information as possible and spent time in prayer asking God to clarify His vision and to provide the opportunity to
work full time developing the site.
From the outset, God was clear that the foundation and the focus of the site was to be on furthering an individuals understanding and application of His Word. . .
Ministry Priorities
To share with website visitors that a meaningful and fulfilling relationship with God is not only possible, but also attainable by
spending time with Him in prayer and Bible study.
To consistently present the work of Christ on the cross so that those who do not have a relationship with God will be presented
the gospel message.
To teach sound evangelical Biblical doctrine.
To attempt to model godliness in all communication.
Scripture Centered
Anchor Your Life’sgoal is to minister to individuals through a strong emphasis on the teaching and application of the Word of God.
Because the Web allows almost anyone to look like they know
what they´re doing, web sites are ideal places for deception. Building credibility on the Web is key. Anchor Your Life’s credibility comes from the authority and credibility of the Bible.
Purposeful
The Goal: Spiritual Growth The site is structured in a sequential, not random hit order - that
is, a visitor to the site cannot visit a page in the middle of specific teaching content. Rather, the teaching units flow as if they were
the written versions of a spoken message. And the site is designed for frequent re-visits.
So shall My word be which goes forth
from My mouth; it shall not return to me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding {in the matter} for which I sent
it. (Isaiah 55:11)
