Warmth to the Needy
In April we distributed 125 winter packs to children in Lesotho…backpacks filled with blankets, hats, gloves, and scarves. Why???? It is God’s love that compels us to love others…it is out of a place of gratitude, humility, and a call to action that we care for the children in Lesotho and Southern Africa. That’s why we want to provide 125 more warm hats, scarves, gloves, and blankets for the children in George, South Africa in June. The cold winter months (May-September) have arrived in Southern Africa. With your help we have the opportunity to give a tangible reminder to the children that they are deeply loved by us, and their Heavenly Father.
Would you help us provide winter packs for the children in South Africa?
Cheer
It’s amazing how so many things that we take for granted in the US that are special treats for our kids in Lesotho. I’m not sure that I’ve ever enjoyed a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as much as I did on my last visit to Lesotho. I know that their smiles made the sandwiches taste extra yummy! The next time you sit down (or drive through) to grab a quick bite remember how precious a simple pb&j is to kids across the globe! ~ Mike
“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.” – J.R.R. Tolkien, The Hobbit
Ease and Forget
“To ease another’s heartache is to forget one’s own.”
― Abraham Lincoln
Next month we will be providing hats, gloves, scarves and blankets to needy children in South Africa as they prepare for the bitter cold. Each winter pack costs $25 and helps to keep someone warm throughout the winter months. You can help with a secure online donation. Click here to help.
Winter Is Coming To Southern Africa
“Charity even for one person does not make sense except in terms of an effort to love all Creation in response to the Creator’s love for it.”
― Wendell Berry
Anchor Your Life will be distributing hats, scarves, gloves & blankets as preparations begin for the bitter cold in Lesotho and South Africa. Each pack costs $25 to assemble and distribute. You can help us with this project through your donation and bring warmth to children who so desperately need it.
Charity
“Our prayers for others flow more easily than those for ourselves. This shows we are made to live by charity.”
― C.S. Lewis

Keeping Warm
We will be headed into winter here in South Africa soon. South Africa and Lesotho are areas where the temperatures often drop below freezing in the winter months and bring frequent snow storms. Once the sun goes down it is really chilly.
We will once again be doing Winter Packs for our children in Lesotho and George, South Africa.
Will you help? A $25 donation provides a Winter Pack for a needy child in Africa!
“What we spend we lose. What we keep will be left for others. What we give away will be ours forever.” -David McGee
What will you do…?
What do you do when you live in a place that is freezing cold, and it’s hard to stay warm? You can’t turn on the heat. There is none. You can’t put on a warm jacket or blanket when you don’t have one. And you can’t slip under the warmth of a comforter at night when the only thing you have to sleep on is the cold cement floor.
Over the next two months our goal is to raise funds to purchase and then distribute hundreds of winter packs (hats, gloves, scarves, and blankets) to children in Lesotho and South Africa. Each pack cost us $25 to assemble and distribute. You can help us with this project through your donation and bring warmth to children who so desperately need it…
